Corseted Velvet Ensemble with Draped Silk Overlay
Kashvara is a layered ensemble constructed upon a sculpted foundation. At its core is a strapless velvet corset, internally boned and finished with interior grip support to ensure a secure, contoured fit. Cut in an elongated proportion, the corset extends beyond the waistline, designed to be tucked seamlessly into the trousers for a clean architectural line. Overlaying the corset is a fluid 100% silk drape that wraps across the shoulders and connects at the back in a continuous panel. Soft pleating introduces dimension and movement, creating contrast against the structured base. The neckline fastens with a Khushi Kumar insignia buckle, while subtle embroidery traces the neck strap.
Scattered tonal zari florals are hand-embroidered across the silk overlay, echoing the deep wine velvet beneath and establishing continuity across layers. The look is completed with high-waisted velvet flared trousers, tailored to widen toward the hem in a bell silhouette. Vine-inspired zari embroidery rises along the leg toward the knee, grounding the form. From one side of the waist, a ruched silk extension ascends diagonally before cascading into elongated flowing panels, finished with tonal hand-embroidered florals. Kashvara balances containment and release. Precision at the core, movement at the edges.
Hand-embroidered in zari using tonal floral and vine motifs placed across both velvet and silk surfaces. Constructed in India, combining precision corsetry, elongated tailoring, and controlled draping techniques. The layered fabrication reflects the house’s dialogue between structure and fluidity.
Standard and custom sizing available.
